Dixmont [dimɔ̃] est une commune française située dans le département de l'Yonne et dans la région de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, dans l'arrondissement de Sens et le canton de Villeneuve-sur-Yonne. Elle est située dans le Pays d'Othe et la forêt d'Othe qui s'étendent sur les départements de l'Yonne et de l'Aube. Elle compte selon le dernier recensement 913 habitants pour une superficie totale de 4 218 hectares regroupant 24 hameaux. Une ville américaine porte le même nom dans l'État du Maine.
