Villefranche-sur-Saône est une commune française, située dans le département du Rhône en région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.Seule sous-préfecture et une des principales villes de la circonscription départementale du Rhône, c'est désormais la commune la plus peuplée du nouveau département du Rhône, dans ses limites de 2015, ses habitants sont appelés les Caladois.
