Paray-Vieille-Poste est une commune française située à dix-sept kilomètres au sud de Paris dans le département de l’Essonne en région Île-de-France.Simple village agricole, agrémenté au XVIIe siècle d’un relais de poste en bordure de la route de Fontainebleau, la commune ne fut effectivement urbanisée qu’au sortir de la Première Guerre mondiale avec l’établissement par l’US Air Force puis par la Marine d’un aérodrome.
