Le Raincy est une commune française située dans le département de la Seine-Saint-Denis, dont elle est sous-préfecture, en région Île-de-France.Atypique dans le département, parfois surnommée "petit Neuilly du 93", elle apparaît comme une ville dont les habitants sont, en moyenne, relativement aisés, puisque le revenu fiscal médian par ménage y était en 2011 non seulement le troisième plus élevé du département, après Gournay-sur-Marne et Coubron , mais aussi nettement supérieur à celui de l'Île-de-France : 34 913 €.
