Monceaux-le-Comte est une commune française située dans le département de la Nièvre, en région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.Le village de Monceaux-Le-Comte est situé en bordure du massif du Morvan , sur les rives de l'Yonne. Son territoire s’étend sur 328 ha et ses habitants s’appellent les Moncelliens. Sa population forte de 453 habitants en 1846 n’a cessé de régressé pour atteindre 131 habitants au recensement de 2016.
