Cerisy-la-Forêt est une commune française, située dans le département de la Manche en région Normandie, peuplée de 1 036 habitants. Elle bénéficie d'un important patrimoine environnemental et architectural.Sur un territoire occupé dès l'Antiquité, l'histoire de Cerisy-la-Forêt est liée à la fondation au VIe siècle de l'abbaye Saint-Vigor qui prendra son essor vers le XIe siècle. Sur le territoire communal qui compte 2 300 ha, on trouve aussi plusieurs châteaux et manoirs. La commune est bordée par la forêt de Cerisy.
