Oyonnax est une commune française située dans le département de l'Ain, en région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Ses habitants sont les Oyonnaxiens et les Oyonnaxiennes. C'est la deuxième commune la plus peuplée du département.Oyonnax se situe au nord du département de l'Ain, à la limite nord du Haut-Bugey, dans une région de lacs, de forêts et de rivières entre les agglomérations de Lyon et Genève ; elle est dans le massif du Jura, à la porte du parc naturel régional du Haut-Jura.
