Ovanches est une commune française située dans le département de la Haute-Saône, en région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
Ovanches est située dans un méandre de la Saône recoupé par le tunnel-canal de Saint-Albin, reliant ainsi les deux côtés de la boucle en une sorte de raccourci, ce qui confère au village l'apparence d'une île.
