L'Arc est une rivière s'écoulant en France dans la vallée alpine de la Maurienne, dans le département de la Savoie en région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.Selon d'autres chercheurs, il pourrait trouver ses racines dans l'expression Supra Flumen quod dicitur Arcus au XIe siècle ; ar serait alors lié à l'eau vive.
