L'étang de Thau , appelé aussi lagune de Thau ou encore bassin de Thau, est une lagune d'eau de mer du sud de la France et le plus grand plan d'eau de la région Occitanie. Elle a une superficie d'environ 7 500 hectares et une profondeur moyenne de cinq mètres .
