L'Aude est un fleuve du sud de la France dont le cours de 224 kilomètres s'inscrit dans la région Occitanie, depuis les Pyrénées jusqu'à la mer Méditerranée.
Dans l'Antiquité, l'Aude était appelée Atax par les Romains. Certains auteurs antiques ont nommé le fleuve Narbôn [réf. nécessaire].
