La forteresse de Hüningen était une forteresse construite entre 1679 et 1691 selon les plans du constructeur de forteresses Vauban et a existé jusqu’en 1815 à Hüningue, en Alsace, juste à l’extérieur de la ville de Bâle.
Le noyau de la forteresse était un pentagone avec cinq bastions. Devant chacun des cinq rideaux se trouvait une tenaille, elle-même protégée par une lunette. Ce rempart était entouré d’un large fossé, qui recevait son eau du Rhin. À l’extérieur du fossé, il y avait un moulin à corne au nord et au sud. La forteresse était armée de 140 canons et disposait de casernes pour 5000 hommes. Vers Bâle, il y avait aussi deux ouvrages en amont, une tour machicule et une Sternschanze.
