Autrefois appelé "La Pépinière", il est situé place Francis Planté, nom d'un poète et romancier landais du début du siècle dernier. Créé en 1793 pour permettre la culture du pin des Landes, il devient jardin public en 1947.
Inscrit dans la boucle de la Douze, il présente plus de 80 essences de très beaux arbres, ainsi qu'un jardin japonais, un jardin de fougères et un jardin d'hydrangeas. Aire de jeux pour les enfants. Visites guidées l'été avec le guide de l'Office de Tourisme ou sur rendez-vous pour les groupes.
