Le Queyran est pays de transition entre la forêt landaise et la plaine de Garonne. Fondée par Edouard 1er, Villefranche s'y implante en 1280, au bord de l'Ourbise. La bastide présente un plan régulier, au bâti très dense sur la grande rue. Une halle, des maisons à colombages très anciennes, le château du XVIème transformé au XVIIIème, l'église du bourg du XVème (très remaniée) et celle de Saint-Savin excentrée (classée MH), font l'intérêt de ce village.
