L’attentat de la rue Nicaise, également connu sous le nom de « conspiration de la machine infernale », est un attentat, qui a eu lieu le 3 nivôse an IX , à 20 h, dû à une conjuration royaliste, visant à assassiner Napoléon Bonaparte, Premier consul de France depuis le coup d'État du 18 brumaire, à Paris le 9 novembre 1799.
Ce projet raté survient peu après la conspiration des poignards du 18 vendémiaire an IX et représente l’un des nombreux complots royalistes de l’époque.
