L'auberge du Schiessroth peut être rejointe à pied, après une belle balade d'une vingtaine de minutes depuis la station du Gaschney, ou en voiture. L'effort est récompensé par la beauté du paysage : un fabuleux panorama à perte de vue. Les chamois ont élu domicile dans le cirque glacière du Wormspel et les éboulis du Petit Hohneck.
