Niché dans un écrin naturel, le musée propose un voyage au cœur de la Préhistoire illustrant l'évolution de l'humanité depuis ses origines jusqu'au Néolithique. Période fondamentale au cours de laquelle apparaît l'agriculture et où l'homme se sédentarise et construit des monuments funéraires massifs comme ceux du site archéologique situé tout proche du musée. Cette nécropole, édifiée il y a plus de 6000 ans vous révèle d'imposants tumulus, exceptionnellement bien conservés et accessibles.
