Ontdek het museum, het ontdekkingsparcours en bezoek een uitzonderlijke megalithische site in Europa!
Genesteld in een natuurlijke omgeving, biedt het museum een reis naar het hart van de Prehistorie en illustreert de evolutie van de mensheid van zijn oorsprong tot het Neolithicum. Het neolithicum was een belangrijke periode voor de ontwikkeling van de landbouw en de sedentarisatie van de mens, met de bouw van massieve grafmonumenten zoals die op de archeologische site vlakbij het museum. Deze necropolis, meer dan 6000 jaar geleden gebouwd, heeft imposante grafheuvels die uitzonderlijk goed bewaard zijn gebleven en toegankelijk zijn.
In 2024 mikt het museum op een nieuw doel met de nieuwe tentoonstelling "Op zoek naar de verloren boog". De tentoonstelling is een knipoog naar de Olympische Spelen en eert boogschutters van de prehistorie tot nu.
