Le Prieuré Saint-Jean sur 2 continents !
Monument classé parmi les plus anciens du Poitou, quasiment millénaire. Erigé au XI ème siècle, le Prieuré Saint-Jean est en réalité une vaste Abbaye richement dotée à l'origine des vins d'Appellation Anjou du secteur Nord Vienne; les Moines Bénédictins venus de l'Abbaye de BOURGUEIL importent le premier plan de vigne en 1076 et innovent en construisant une architecture remarquable et unique identifiant la période de transition de la fin de l'Art Roman et du début du Gothique pour l'ouest de la France.
