Au Sud de Fléville et d’Exermont, la commune d’Apremont possède un cimetière allemand qui compte 1111 tombes individuelles. Ce cimetière, créé en novembre 1915 pour les tués en forêt d'Argonne, est le seul à conserver une grande partie des emplacements d'inhumation dans leur état d'origine. Vous y verrez notamment la tombe et stèle du commandant baron Von Müllenheim-Rechberg, commandant le 5ème bataillon de chasseurs, tué à la Haute-Chevauchée le 8 avril 1916. Dans le cimetière se trouve le monument du 27ème régiment de Landwher.Ce cimetière militaire est entré au Patrimoine Mondial de l’UNESCO en 2023, avec les Sites funéraires et mémoriels de la Première Guerre mondiale (Front Ouest)
