Découvrez les vestiges de l'Abbaye Saint Sauveur, à Charroux, village labelisé "petite cité de caractère", dans le sud de la Vienne.
L'abbaye était l'une des plus puissantes abbayes bénédictines de l'Europe Carolingienne et elle doit ses origines à sa relique de la Sainte-Croix. Sa fameuse tour octogonale, dite de Charlemagne, ses remarquables sculptures gothiques et son trésor la classent parmi les hauts lieux du patrimoine poitevin du Moyen-Âge.
