Elle proviendrait de la chapelle du 10ème siècle qui se trouvait au sommet du Puy de Gaudy. Elle présente des sculptures ornementales chrétiennes : un serpent (l'enfer), un poisson (symbole chrétien), deux calices de taille différente (sang du Christ), un coeur (amour), une croix latine (bon larron), une croix tréflée (mauvais larron).
Le site se compose d'une fontaine, qui, faute d'être utilisée, a dévié sa source, d'un lavoir rectangulaire au fond pavé et d'un abreuvoir en granite possédant un trou pour attacher les animaux pendant qu'ils s'abreuvaient.
