La pierre du Chaud-Costet, parfois appelée Pierre Charlemagne, est un énorme bloc de granite (4m x 6m environ) aux formes arrondies.
Une légende y est associée :
Saviez-vous qu’au Tholy les bébés ne naissaient pas dans les choux, ni n’étaient apportés par les cigognes comme ailleurs …
Ils naissaient sous la pierre du Chaud-Costet et c’est là que les sages-femmes allaient les chercher dès potron-minet. C’est au moins ce que racontaient les parents à leurs enfants autrefois. Pour preuve, ajoutaient-ils, il suffit d’appuyer une oreille attentive contre la fissure qui balafre la pierre les jours de grand vent et on entend pleurer les nouveaux-nés.
