Carcassonne est une ville du sud de la France située à environ 90 kilomètres au sud-est de Touloose. La ville a une histoire très riche, dont la période autour du 12 et 13 est la plus connue. Les cathares y ont connu leur apogée et le caractère médiéval ainsi créé subsiste dans l'architecture de la vieille ville. La marche tente de saisir l’atmosphère particulière qui règne en revêtant à la fois l’ancien et le nouveau. Les sites les plus remarquables qui seront visités lors de la visite sont le Château Comtal, la Basilique Saint-Nazaire, la Place Carnot, ... et de nombreux autres lieux magnifiques.
