Badsworth est un village et une paroisse civile dans le borough métropolitain de la ville de Wakefield dans le West Yorkshire, en Angleterre. Selon le recensement de 2001, il avait une population de 583, augmentant à 682 lors du recensement de 2011. Le village est situé à 6 miles au sud de Pontefract.
Le nom "Badsworth" a ses racines dans l'anglais ancien et signifie "Enclos d'un homme appelé Bæddi". Le premier élément est le nom de la personne Bæddi ; le second est le mot worth, qui signifie un enclos, ou une ferme ou un établissement clôturé. Le village a été enregistré sous le nom de Badesuuorde dans le Domesday Book de 1086.
