Crowell est un village et une paroisse civile dans l'Oxfordshire, à environ 4 miles au sud-est de la ville marchande de Thame et à 1 mile au sud-ouest du village de Chinnor. Le recensement de 2001 a enregistré la population de la paroisse à 100.
Le village de Crowell est un établissement de ligne de source à la source d'un ruisseau appelé le Pleck au pied de l'escarpement des collines de Chiltern. Le toponyme "Crowell" est dérivé de l'anglais ancien signifiant "source du corbeau" ou "ruisseau du corbeau".
