Dolgellau est une ville et une communauté dans le Gwynedd, au nord-ouest du Pays de Galles, située sur la rivière Wnion, un affluent de la rivière Mawddach. C'était la ville comtale traditionnelle du comté historique de Merionethshire jusqu'à la création du comté de Gwynedd en 1974. Dolgellau est la principale base pour les grimpeurs de Cadair Idris et Mynydd Moel qui sont visibles depuis la ville. Dolgellau est le deuxième plus grand établissement du sud du Gwynedd après Tywyn et comprend la communauté de Penmaenpool.
