Dolgellau is een stad en gemeenschap in Gwynedd, Noordwest-Wales, gelegen aan de rivier Wnion, een zijrivier van de rivier Mawddach. Het was de traditionele hoofdplaats van de historische graafschap Merionethshire tot de graafschap Gwynedd in 1974 werd opgericht. Dolgellau is de belangrijkste basis voor klimmers van Cadair Idris en Mynydd Moel, die zichtbaar zijn vanuit de stad. Dolgellau is de op een na grootste nederzetting in het zuiden van Gwynedd, na Tywyn, en omvat de gemeenschap van Penmaenpool.
