Cheriton est un village et une paroisse civile près d'Alresford dans le Hampshire, en Angleterre. L'établissement est peut-être le plus célèbre pour être proche du site de la bataille de Cheriton de la guerre civile anglaise de 1644. La source de la rivière Itchen se trouve dans la paroisse voisine de Kilmeston. Le village a deux sections distinctes : Cheriton et New Cheriton qui se trouve à côté de l'A272 à un demi-mile du village principal
