Ganton est un village et une paroisse civile dans le district de Ryedale dans le North Yorkshire, en Angleterre. Il est situé sur le côté sud de la vallée de Pickering, immédiatement au nord des Yorkshire Wolds. Ganton se trouve à 7 miles à l'ouest de la ville côtière de Filey, et à 9 miles au sud-ouest de Scarborough. Il faisait historiquement partie de l'East Riding of Yorkshire jusqu'en 1974.
Le village apparaît dans le Domesday Book et son nom est pensé pour signifier 'la ferme de Galma'.
Ganton est situé sur le Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail et le Centenary Way, des sentiers de grande randonnée. Son monument le plus notable est son terrain de golf. Le Ganton Golf Club a accueilli les matches de la Ryder Cup en 1949, le Championnat Amateur trois fois, en 1964, 1977 et 1991, et la Walker Cup en 2003.
