Thorpe-le-Soken est un village et une paroisse civile dans le district de Tendring dans l'Essex, en Angleterre, situé à l'ouest de Walton-on-the-Naze, Frinton-on-Sea et au nord de Clacton-on-Sea.
Il y a eu un manoir à Thorpe depuis environ 1150.
L'ancien manoir, Thorpe Hall, appartenait à la famille Leake et a été reconstruit dans les années 1820 par l'avocat riche J.M. Leake. Il a ensuite été loué par Frederic Foaker, propriétaire de Sneating Hall à Kirby-le-Soken. Thorpe Hall était la maison de Vicomte Byng de Vimy et de sa femme Evelyn Byng, vicomtesse Byng de Vimy, qui a reaménagé les jardins.
