Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant est un village, une communauté et une paroisse ecclésiastique dans le nord extrême du Powys, au Pays de Galles ; à environ 9 miles à l'ouest d'Oswestry et 12 miles au sud de Llangollen, sur la B4580. Il se trouve près des contreforts des montagnes de Berwyn sur la rivière Rhaeadr. À l'extrémité supérieure de la vallée se trouve la cascade de Pistyll Rhaeadr, l'une des Sept Merveilles du Pays de Galles dans l'ancienne rime. Un mile au nord du village se trouve la colline Moel Hen-fache. La communauté comprend le hameau de Llanarmon Mynydd Mawr.
