La république démocratique fédérative de Transcaucasie , Zakavkazskaïa Demokratitcheskaïa Federativnaïa Respoublika ; connue également sous l'appellation Fédération transcaucasienne) est une Fédération éphémère composé des États actuels d'Arménie, d'Azerbaïdjan et de Géorgie, et de territoires ensuite annexés par l'Empire ottoman et la Russie soviétique, situé dans le Caucase et ayant Tiflis pour capitale.
Après la révolution de février , le gouvernement provisoire russe installa un Comité spécial de Transcaucasie , ossobyï Zakavkazskiï Komitet ) chargé d'administrer la région sous la présidence d'Evguéni Guéguétchkori. Après la révolution d'octobre,
le 11 novembre 1917, l'exécutif transcaucasien est maintenu — en dissidence avec le pouvoir bolchévique installé à Petrograd.
