Le comitat d’Istrie est le comitat le plus occidental de Croatie. Son territoire correspond à la majeure partie de la péninsule d’Istrie.La côte du comitat d’Istrie fait 445 km de long ; 539,9 en comptant les îles. Une petite partie de l’Istrie appartient au comitat de Primorje-Gorski Kotar. Le point le plus élevé est Vojak, 1 401 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer, dans les montagnes Učka.
