Portobello est un quartier de Dublin en Irlande, situé dans le centre-sud de la ville et délimité au sud par le Grand Canal. Il est né en tant que petite banlieue au sud de la ville au XVIIIe siècle, centré sur la rue Richmond. Au siècle suivant, il a été entièrement développé, transformant une zone de propriétés privées et de terres agricoles en quartiers résidentiels victoriens en briques rouges solides pour les classes moyennes dans les rues plus larges, et des maisons mitoyennes bordant le canal pour les classes ouvrières.
