Ballyshannon en irlandais : Béal Átha Seanaidh est une ville du comté de Donegal en République d'Irlande.
Située sur le fleuve Erne, au fond de son embouchure, elle se trouve à mi-chemin entre l'océan Atlantique et la frontière entre l'Irlande et le Royaume-Uni, c'est-à-dire environ 5 km de part et d'autre, au milieu du corridor de Donegal. À l'est de la ville, le cours de l'Erne est interrompu par une digue, l'Assaroe Falls, qui forme en amont le lac Assaroe.
