Au sommet de l'une des montagnes du district de Gaiola, il y a des souffleurs de gaz boracifères. Ce sont des trous dans le sol de tailles variées d'où s'échappe de l'air chaud.
Entre 1914 et 1948, Gaiola était desservie par le tramway Cuneo-Borgo San Dalmazzo-Demonte. Actuellement, le village est desservi par la ligne 93 Cuneo-Vinadio, gérée par Bus Company.
