Auf dem Gipfel eines der Berge im Gemeindegebiet von Gaiola gibt es Schwefelquellen. Es sind Löcher im Boden unterschiedlichen Umfangs, aus denen warme Luft austritt.
Zwischen 1914 und 1948 wurde Gaiola von der Straßenbahn Cuneo-Borgo San Dalmazzo-Demonte bedient. Derzeit wird das Dorf von der Linie 93 Cuneo-Vinadio bedient, die von der Bus Company betrieben wird.
