Bomba est une commune italienne de moins de 1 000 habitants, située dans la province de Chieti, dans la région Abruzzes, en Italie méridionale.
Certains affirment que le nom du village dériverait d'une voix latine[Quoi ?], à son tour d'origine onomatopéique, ce qui signifierait un bourdonnement ou un grondement, car à l'époque romaine une cascade aurait été trouvée à proximité, cause d’un grondement caractéristique dans la vallée.
