Le lac de Tenno est situé dans la commune de Tenno , à quelques pas du village médiéval de Canale di Tenno. Le bassin est d’origine unique et a été formé à la suite du glissement de terrain qui a bloqué le cours de son affluent.
Le lac a une superficie d’environ 195 m2, est le sixième plus grand lac dans la région du Trentin.
