Le Tullen est le sommet le plus élevé des Geisler d'Afer, un sous-groupe du groupe de Peitlerkofel dans les Dolomites occidentales. Les Geisler d'Afer forment une chaîne de montagnes orientée d'est en ouest, qui sépare la vallée d'Afer et de Lüsner au nord et la vallée de Villnöß au sud. Le Tullen se situe environ au milieu de ce sous-groupe, les sommets significatifs les plus proches étant à l'ouest le Weißlahngrat et à l'est le Wälsche Ring.
