Le duché de Mantoue était une principauté située en Lombardie, dans le nord de l'Italie actuelle, vassale du Saint-Empire romain germanique.
Créé en 1530 pour le marquis de Mantoue Frédéric II, le duché exista de 1530 à 1797. Le 2 avril 1707, les Autrichiens ont pris possession du duché, qui est passé ainsi de la Maison Gonzague, qui le gouvernait depuis sa création, aux Habsbourg, qui possédaient aussi le duché de Milan, et avec lequel il se trouvait en continuité territoriale.
