Echternach est une ville du Luxembourg d’environ 5 600 habitants et le chef-lieu de son canton, le long de la vallée de la Sûre marquant la frontière avec la Rhénanie-Palatinat allemande.Echternach, à l'est du pays, le long de la rivière frontalière Sûre , fait partie de la région naturelle surnommée Petite Suisse luxembourgeoise.
