Le café situé au 55 Kleine Houtstraat appartenait autrefois au cycliste Jacques van Egmond. Après sa carrière active de cycliste, Van Egmond a ouvert ce café. Ce café est géré jusqu'à aujourd'hui par son fils Paul, qui a connu une certaine notoriété dans les années soixante et soixante-dix en tant que footballeur de Telstar, à l'époque une équipe stable du sous-plateau en première division.
