Le Labyrinthe de Texel est un petit bois situé sur le versant sud-est de la Haute Montagne, à l'ouest d'Oudeschild. Bien qu'il soit petit, il se distingue par son altitude et influence fortement le paysage environnant.
L'histoire du bois commence en 1764 lorsque le commissaire et commis Cornelis Roepel acheta un terrain de 17 ares sur la Haute Montagne. De cet endroit, il y a et il y a toujours une vue magnifique sur le Ré de Texel. De plus, il y a une petite colline dans la région. On raconte sur Texel qu'il y aurait un grand rocher caché à l'intérieur de cette colline. Ce rocher s'appelle la Pierre Anglaise car il serait entièrement situé sous la mer du Nord jusqu'en Angleterre. La colline peut être escaladée par sept marches : 'les sept crêpes'.
