Il Labirinto di Texel è un piccolo bosco sulla pendice sud-est della Hoge Berg, a ovest di Oudeschild. Anche se è piccolo, è visibile per la sua elevata posizione e influisce fortemente sul paesaggio circostante.
La storia del bosco inizia nel 1764, quando il commissario e impiegato Cornelis Roepel acquistò un pezzo di terra di 17 are sulla Hoge Berg. Da qui si gode di una vista spettacolare sulla Texelse Rede. Inoltre, c'è un piccolo colle nell'area. Si racconta a Texel che in questo colle si nasconderebbe un grande masso. Il masso si chiama la Pietra Inglese perché si dice che si estenda completamente sotto il Mare del Nord fino in Inghilterra. La collina può essere scalata tramite sette gradini: 'i sette pancake'.
