Le moulin St. Martinus à Didam a été construit en 1855 le long de la nouvelle route de Zeddam à Didam
(aujourd'hui Wilhelminastraat) à la demande de Derk Kempers de Wehl.
Le moulin semble être situé sur une colline, mais en réalité, il a été construit à même le sol
et a ensuite été entouré de terre pour arriver aux
voiles. Le moulin St. Martinus fait partie du type des 'moulins à bande'.
En raison de sa construction élevée, il capte suffisamment de vent pour tourner efficacement et
produire. À partir des différents montants de vente, on peut en déduire que les
coûts de construction initiaux s'élevaient à environ 3.000 fl. (Les coûts de restauration en 2007 ont été d'environ 300.000 €).
Le moulin a donc plus de 150 ans et a été restauré en 1963 et 1980. À l'automne 2007
(l'année du moulin), une restauration complète a été achevée.
