Il mulino di San Martino a Didam è stato costruito nel 1855 lungo la nuova strada da Zeddam a Didam
(l'attuale Wilhelminastraat) su incarico di Derk Kempers da Wehl.
Il mulino sembra trovarsi su un'altura, ma in realtà è stato costruito dal terreno
ed è stato poi ricoperto di terra intorno al mulino per raggiungere
le vele. Il mulino di San Martino appartiene al tipo delle 'moli a nastro'.
A causa della sua alta costruzione, riescono a catturare abbastanza vento per girare efficacemente e
fornire. Dai vari importi di vendita si può dedurre che i
costi di costruzione originali ammontavano a circa 3.000 fiorini. (I costi di restauro nel 2007 ammontavano a circa 300.000 €).
Il mulino ha quindi più di 150 anni ed è stato restaurato nel 1963 e nel 1980. Nell'autunno del 2007
(l'anno del mulino) è stato completato un ampio restauro.
