Schinnen est un village dans le sud du Limbourg. C'était le chef-lieu de la commune homonyme de Schinnen, qui a été fusionnée avec la commune de Beekdaelen le 1er janvier 2019, et comptait 2.685 habitants au 1er janvier 2021. De Schinnen proviennent le sirop de Canisius et la bière Alfa, qui est brassée dans le hameau de Thull. À Schinnen se trouve également une ferme château, le château de Terborgh. De plus, Schinnen est connu pour avoir vu naître la première bande des bokkenrijders dans le hameau de Wolfhagen, près du Putherberg.
