Fort Kijkuit est une fortification de la Nouvelle ligne d'eau hollandaise. Elle servait à la fermeture de la route entre Loosdrecht et Vreeland, avec le canal de Hilversum à proximité. Le fort a été construit en 1844 et modifié en 1880. En 1935, un casemate a été ajouté avec un front blindé, ce qui est rare, seul le Fort aan de Drecht a quelque chose de comparable.
